  • Illustrative lecture by Raghu Rai on illustrative overview of his work; Manisha Mohan on Animation, New Media & Beyond; Nandita Das on From Written Words to Moving Images

  • Digital film making workshop by National Award winning filmmaker Nandan Saxena on Cinematic Films on a Budget; Imaging the Word, a calligraphy workshop led by Canadian artist Brian Mulvihil

  • The Festival was inaugurated by Hon’able Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik

  • The Closing Ceremony was attended by the Former Foreign Secretary of India, Ambassador Lalit Mansingh as the Chief guest, and Chairman of INTACH, Shri Maj.Gen. (Retd) L K Gupta, Eminent photographer, Shri Raghu Rai and Eminent Artist, Dr. Durga Prasad Das

Films based on Literature

  • The Fourth Direction (Chauthi Koot) by Gurvinder Singh is based on two of Waryam Singh Sandu’s short stories

  • The Chess Players (Shatranj ke Khiladi) by Satyajit Ray is based on a short story of the same name written by Munshi Premchand

  • Lakshmi Ra Abhisara by filmmaker Raj Gopal (Raju) Mishra based on a short story by Manoj Das

  • The Salesman by Asghar Farhadi  based on Arthur Miller’s The Death of a Salesman

  • The Secret in Their Eyes by Juan Jose Campanella, based on Eduardo Sacheri’s novel La pregunta de sus ojos

  • The Swiss film My Life as a Zucchini by Claude Barrass is based on the novel Autobiography of a Courgette by Gilles Paris
