Felicitation and Book Release Function of Bala Krishna V Doshi & Mahendra Raj

JDCA hosted a felicitation and book release function for the eminent architect B V Doshi and structural designer Mahendra Raj. Early in their career they both worked with the Swiss-French architect and urban planner, Le Corbusier in late 1950s and are now associated with the JD Centre of Art.

 

During the event, the two stalwarts in their 90s shared their life’s journey through an illustrated lecture that showcased some of their key projects from the euphoric independant India's early years till today. They hoped that many passionate people across Odisha’s cultural landscape will come together to realise the vision of JDCA, the tete-e-tete ended with standing ovation from the packed audience.The audience didn't seem to get enough of them at the Q&As and sat around them asking them innumerable questions, which patiently and engagingly answered.
