Artists & Friends

Support

The JD Centre of Art aims to blur the lines between arts and crafts, between artists and craftsperson, between creators and audiences and between adults and children. The Centre will bring traditional and contemporary art, all under one roof. As a living space, it will bring the art and craft communities closer to the general public.

Its current activities include a monthly Meet the Artist Program and a biennial Film Festival on Art and Artists. They have continued to educate, inspire, and sensitise artists, art lovers and the public at large.

In such times to ask for support for an art centre seems odd. But as we grapple  with this health and economic crisis, there are also going to be long term impacts

on our socio-cultural landscape. In fact, we will need more such spaces to keep our spirits alive and to support various vulnerable art communities.

Come join us in this initiative and become a Friend of JDCA.

The donation will help us survive during these trying times. No amount is too small. We, on our part, will welcome you as an honoured guest at the opening and all the functions of JDCA. With the contributions from friends and well-wishers, we hope to bring the Centre alive as soon as possible.

General Fund

General Fund is created and maintained by the Trust for all its expenses - monthly Meet the Artist Program, conservation and preservation work, other activities of the Centre and the running of the organisation. It will help us meet the donation gap that is often created as most donors donate only to a specific project or need, like construction or the Film Festival on Art and Artists. The fund is judiciously used for the Centre only.
